Lentil Soup with Garlic Bread

Feeling a bit under the weather today, so I decided to make up a simple lentil Soup: here’s the lentil soup recipe I used:


And for the garlic bread, I just bought a sourdough demi baguette and cut it up into small slices. Then I brushed them with some olive oil, minced garlic and melted butter, and sprinkled some Italian seasoning on the top. I baked them at 350 degrees for about 5-7 minutes and then broiled them for a couple of minutes until they were at my desired crispyness.

Nice and simple dinner for today!


Easy Classic Hummus Recipe

I bought some large carrots and chickpeas from the store to make a carrot and hummus snack for the week, and found this easy recipe to make.


It was delicious, and a recipe to definitely use again in the future! Probably will double it next time though to make a bigger batch.

Also made a variation on this recipe by grinding up fresh parsley and green onions to make a green hummus:
